Platy Fish

Hi there,

I have a 160 liter tropical tank and also have a 30 liter cold water tank for my daughter.

At pets at home a few years back i was sold two Platy fish which live in my daughters cold water tank.

Recently i have heard Platy fish like warmer temperature, is this correct? And am i best moving them into my tropical tank? Which sits at around 24 degrees.

Yes they do like wormer water I kept mine at around 24 degrees and they did very well.

The variatus variety are suitable for coldwater.  If these were sold to you as coldwater fish it's possible they are variatus?
