balls hmm when one of my platys was pregnant this happened, these balls are like a miscarriage,or dropping them before the fry are fully developed. i had mine seperated in a breeders net and i thought mine wasnt stressed but did this, yet when i put her in my main tank she dropped the rest fine.
dont know what to suggest, all i can tell you is what the balls are you are finding
sorry

i think you are right. how sad. but she is not stressed she has plrenty of room to swim and alone on the divided tank side. she looks big still tho so i dunno. should i remove the "eggs" or leave them in there?

the eggs(undeveloped fry) you can take them out, but they seem to disappear over night because they rot really quick.

know this may sound strange, but sometimes even though they dont want to be pestered by other fish while they are pregnant they still become lonely. how many weeks is she pregnant?? is she having a good amont of protein in her food???

yes i feed them all the same, brimeshrimped crushed with regular flakes and bloodworms. i did however notice this morning she was a bit jumpy, but i fed her quickly and walked away. i didn't want to disturb her. i will just take those eggs out i guess, she is still heavy looking so i bet she will drop normal healthy fry very soon. ty.

If you carefully unravel them, with sometihng like a tooth pick, they may make it. I did that with molly fry. Some made it and some didnt.

i'm not sure how long they have been there but i do see tiny dark eyes inside. i am afraid to touch them hehe.

i have a molly who did this when she was younger. here first four lots of fry came out as under-developed 'balls'

as she 'grew up' she had normal fry but still drops a few balls now and then

i placed a plant and rock with her maybe she wanted to be hidden i dunno. but i think she may drop very soon, she is standing in one spot like she normally does when she is ready to give birth. however i don't see the white tube near her fins open like it was this morning.

i found 1 fry in there transfered him over to the 10gal breeder, i hope he survives he was a little shaken when moved out of the tank hehe.

one of my 16 week old young guppy has started to drop balls and tiny fry today - poor thing - she was floating exhausted at the top of the tank so i scooped her into the breeder where she is giving birth to these little things as i say some are balls some are tinyfry - i think she is just too young to have them
i dont usually use the breeding trap for any fish unless they get exhausted by the males and always empty babies bakc into main tank when mum returns when she is finished giving birth
