Platy Colours

There is no exact answer. It may look like father completely, like mother completely, or a combination in between. If you have two males, you should have at least four females. 1:2 males to females is a good ratio to keep. If you only have one male, 1:3 would be good for that first male. If you don't have the ratios set up like this, you will see the males constantly harass the female(s) as there is no one else to direct their attention towards.

the problem is you dont know what the female has been with befor, and as they can store sperm for several months you may get a few crosses from your males but many could be totaly different, unless you keep the female, on her own for 6-8 months rejecting all the fry, then after that time frame you introduce your males and then it would be almost all your males fry.
