Platy Bully

I have 2 male platies in my main tank and until recently they seemed fine. now one of them continuosly harrasses the other. I intend to get some more males but I don't have use of my q tank right now and I am not adding unquarantined fish! I do have 2 girl platies and 4 girl swordtails and was thinking of adding them as a distraction..... will I be overrun by babies? I don't mind if they spawn and most babies get eaten, and a few survuve, but I don't wanna be in the situation where I have way too many babies and nobody will take them off my hands.

adding females will ditract them but my males often diplay and see each other off,
as long as theirs not to many hiding places most fry will be eaten
