Platy Birth

My red platy is pregnant what are some signs to let me know the fry will come within 1-3 days I am puzzled

I'm going to go pick up 3 more females and then a breeder tank in case I'll leave in package in case I change my mind

Just got home from my LFS I got a net breeder called Penn plax net breeder is this a good one? I also got 3 female platy to make my female to male ratio 2:1 (or 6:3)

There is no such thing as "a good breeder net." They are small and restricting and will cause the fish a lot of unneccessary stress during birth. You are better off adding a lot of plants (fake or real, doesnt matter) and rocks for fry cover, or setting up a separate tank, and try catching the fry and moving them to their own tank.

I'm setting up a 5 gallon with lots of plants etc. It's already cycled . I bought from a friend
