Hi all my Platties seam to be acting very strange.

They are all swimming along the top of the water with their mouth toughing the surface.

I know the tanks a little slightly hot.

The levels are fine have are all at the correct levels.

Is this an early sign something is wrong?

I have attached an image file.

Have you got an airpump that you can stick in the tank? The higher temps take its toll of the oxigen levels in the tank. It might be worth doing a 25% water change with slightly cooler water.

Air pump is already in the tank.

I'll have to do another water change tonight.
I've frozen some water in a bottle to add into the tank hoping that will cool things down a bit.

I'm hoping that with a 25% water change should help things.

Do you have a thermometer on your tank? If not, it'd be a good idea to get one. I have a stick-on one that cost about $2 from Walmart, but they have a few different kind.
If it feels warm to you, it's probably hot to them. You should take the cover off too as that will help it cool down quickly. Just keep an eye out for jumpers.
