Platty size

Hi all,

Quick question. Are male platties normally smaller than female platties? Or have I just by chance got a bunch of older females and one younger male?

Also, how can you tell if fry are eating? I've been feeding them liquifry and a little crushed flake into the breeding net 3 times a day, but I never see them eat - they just hide in the little plastic plant I put in there for them. They are really hard to spot!
