Platty Question

I have a female platty that has developed a strange habit. She goes to the corner of the tank and makes bubbles at the top and the whole corner is full of bubbles. Anyone else ever seen this?

does she go up to the surface to get the air or is it just wot she filteres from the water?

She goes up there to get air. It doent look like she is gasping. She is not always up there either. It almost looks like a bubble nest, but she is a live bearer, so I dont think thats right. No other fish do it

What are your water params?

And is it possible the filter, or airstone is making the bubbles? Because I really doubt the Platy is making a bubble-nest.

I know its not a bubble nest, thats what it looks like. I watched her spit the bubbles out, so I know they are coming from her.

Ill have to check the water params. I did a water 25% water change yesterday. Last time I checked them, they were good.

Tank mates: cories, porthole catfish, danios, neons, yoyo loaches..

Its really strange, she will go over there and make some bubbles and then leave and swim around, and then go back. All other fish are acting normal

I hope thats all it is, but I have to make sure. She is definately eating good. I fed them last night, and she beat the Danios to the flake food...
