Hi All

I have two orange platties and all the time one is chasing the other one all around the tank. I have been told by my LFS that he is a little frisky but I really feel sorry for the plattie. Is this normal??

Are they a male and a female?

By the poop spot the female will have a triangle fin and the male will have kind of a straighter fin!

yep looks like 1 of each!

female is constantly hiding and not moving much apart from when she is being chased!

Well the chasing about is normal....he is frisky....and she is thinking 'oh god I have a headache'.....just like humans...LOL

Don't feel bad or silly about not knowing. I ran into a pet store employee (who did work in the fish section) that didn't know. It was at petco! I'm working on uploading pics for ya! I'll get'em on when it's done...well since it's been figured out I won't post'em...
If you have room in your tank, what about getting 1 or 2 more females so the lone female doesn't have to take all the wrath?
