Hi all,
I bought 2 platties yesterday and i woke up this morning but it asif they are glues together.1 of my platties is just following my other.Is this becuase it could be a male and a female or could it be because it is new surroundings and it is affraid.

If its a male and a female that youve got then the male is probably trying to breed.The way to tell them apart is that the male has a long pointed anal fin at the bottom called a gonopodium.The female has a fan shaped anal fin.
If it is a male and female that you have then you should get another one or two females.Having only one female means the male will be harassing her constantly and could stress her to the point of illness or worse.
 
Also looking at your sig... the tetras need to be in groups of 6+ for each kind, the corys in groups of at least 3 too. You might want to consider rehoming some of them if you don't have enough space to keep them in reasonable sized groups.
