I work at a pet shop mainly taking care of the fish, my supervisor does the orders however and when I went in today I noticed these new Platinum Gouramis but don't know much about them! I was thinking about getting one to go in my 3ft community but I'm not sure whether or not they're suitable. Does anyone know anything about them? I've never seen them before.

They look kinda like an Albino Opaline to me :p

They are like a silvery/platium colour, can get very big, and prefer to be kept in pairs - to sex them you just need to look closely at their top fins - the males fins are slightly longer than the females - with the females also being abit smaller in size, but just as pretty.

The platinum gourami is a 3-spot gourami that looks very similar to the gold gourami except with a silver/white shine to it. It is made by breeding different colour morphs of the 3-spots, so it should have similar, if not the same requirements as any other 3-spot gourami.
