My husband just brought me 7 Platies and I would like to know how to differentiate between the males and females. I understand that it is better to have more females than males?
Yes, have at least 3 or 4 females to each male. Look at the back of the fish, by the anal vent. If you see 3 fins, it's a female. If you see 2 fins and a tube, it's a male.
