I HAVE RECENTLY SET UP A 22 GALLON TANK AND HAVE THREE PLATIES, FOUR LEOPARD DANIOS AND THREE TETRAS IN IT. EVERTHING SEEMS TO BE O.K. IHAVE VISITED THE LOCAL FISH SHOP A COUPLE OF TIMES AND THE GENT THERE ADVISES ME THAT ITS STILL NOT READY TO PUT IN ANYMORE YET.
MY QUESTION IS THAT ONE OF THE PLATIES SEEMS TO BE WANTING TO LOITER IN THE TOP CORNER OF THE TANK AND SEEMS TO CHASE ANYTHING AWAY THAT SEEMS TO COME NEAR IT. SHOULD I BE WORRIED THAT IT HAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH IT OR IS THIS NORMAL

:hi: to the forum. introduce yourself in the newbie section.

Being at the top is potentially a sign of O2 deprivation. A little bit more water circultaion and disturbance mgith help. it might also be stress, which might explain the irritation.

What are your water readings? How big is your tank?

THANKS FOR THE ADVICE. FITTED AN AIR PUMP TODAY AND IT HAS DONE THE TRICK. THE FISH SEEM TO BE SWIMMING AROUND OK NOW
