I have 3 red wagtail platy. They are all hanging out at the bottom and 2 of them are just sitting on the bottom. One of them is kind of curling up (head is going to the side near tail). I don't know what is wrong with them so i can treat them. Does anyone know whats wrong. Help!!!

Hiya rachh004,

Sounds like swim bladder problems. Are their poops looking normal ? Can they feed ? What other fish are in the tank ?
What size tank are they in and do you know what your water stats are ? If not, test your water, it might be that. Do you have a test kit ?

Normally swim bladder is caused by poor diet / poor water conditions. What do you feed them ? How often do you feed ?

Im sorry to say but when fish sit at the bottom its not normally very good.

Try feeding them some deshelled peas. Put some peas in warm water for a minute or 2, then take the pea out and squeeze it until the 2 halves come out the shell. Mush them up a little bit in your fingers then add them to the tank.

Hope they survice.

i second that its swimblader, and i think that some consterpation may be playing a trick too ( a lost a few fish to swimblader and consterrpation at the same time). feeding peas as spooky said shoud sort out any consterpation.
what are your water stats? (Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, PH, GH and KH).

All the water conditions are normal except for the nitrate, its a little high. but i have a 55 gal tank with 3 fancy guppies, 2 zebra loaches, 2 plecos, 2 black skirt tetra, 5 zebra danios, 3 platy, 6 rasboras. I feed them a couple pinches of flakes twice a day

I added some solution that lowers the nitrate because it was high. But i also added some pimafix medication because i noticed two of them had what looks like fungus spots. Do you think that is what could be causing them to sit at the bottom? It is so sad to watch them...i really want to help them.
