Platies Bullying

Hi,

We have had a tank with one platy in it for about a month, and just added a further 2 platies yesterday. There seems to be some bullying going on though - it's unclear as to who is doing the most bullying really, as sometimes it's the one we had originally, and sometimes it's either one of the others. The one we originally had is now hiding in the dark quite a lot, although does come out regularly and swim with the others. They are not constantly going at each other - in fact a lot of the time they all seem fine together - but every couple of minutes one of them will ram at another one.

They are all males - would this have anything to do with it? And if it is the case that introducing a female would settle them down, then what would happen with the fry? We really don't want any fry as we cannot have a larger tank than the one we have now which is only a 20 litre.

Thanks.

Edit: Upon sitting watching them all again for a while, it seems that it's mostly the one we had originally, picking on a particular one of the others. He's actually started chasing him around the tank every time he swims close to him, and then rams at him. What can I do to help? Anything at all, or is it a case of them just having to get used to each other?

Not too familiar with these guys but I'd give em a few more days to get settled in with each other, one will submit to the other eventually. If the aggression continues or is too intense then seperate.
