Platies- breeding

how do i know if my platy is preggo? and when she is gonna give babies? she is orange so u can't really see da gravid spot. thanx in advance!

I've never been able to tell when a platy is going to give birth. I always find the fry hiding in my tank. My platies don't even get fat!! You're just going to have to guess if your platies are anything like mine?

Well, I'm certainly not an expert, and I guess I had a lot of luck, but I've been able to tell my female platy was pregnant
She wasn't really that fat, but when looking at her from the front, you could notice it was a bit more swollen than normal, hard to explain, but I guess you would see it immediately...
So I put her in a breeder net, and indeed, 3 days later, she had the baby platies
normally I would have let her stay in the main tank, but I really wanted platy babies, soooooooooo cute!

yea...what i do is just plant some good bushes of java moss and a few tall plants and that seems to do the trick...also have some floating plants in the corner
