Hi
Im Just wondering how long does it take till a platie gives its 2nd or 3rd batch?
Thx

If their well feed and get regular water changes they will produce fry every 28-32 days at 78F, this also depends on the temperature, the lower the temp the longer they take.

I do beleive that to help pregnacies and birthgiving add more protein into their diet, i use frozen brine shrimp.
I could be wrong though

Yes, I giv them Frozen brine shrimps and flake food, also gave them blood worms but they dont seem to like it, But they should b good on their diet...
But my platie has been over 32 days after her first batch, she's still big, well to b exact its been 35days now from her first batch
And Temp. Is like 80F+ since its been really hot here for the past few weeks

So do you think its normal for her to give birth after 32 days?

It's not law.... fish can hold it off for a while or even shed the babies with out u knowing if their stressed or have poor water quality.

Belive me they will soon pgive you babies and soon you be saying you got to many babies.
