Platie Hurt Badley By Betta

Went to feed m fish today and noticed Elmo had been hurt really bad his tail fins are almost torn off and his body has been crushed but the lil fighter is still swiming found fine, What would you advise me to do to help Elmo get better, Btw my Betta bux has been rehoused to Sister in laws.

Or bless her, melafix at half dose for now with the tail, just hope the fish didn't damage the swim bladder, good luck.

How will i no if she has swim bladder?.

Yeah i agree with the Melafix, will help prevent secondary infections setting in, you shouldn't really keep male bettas with small community fish like this though for this reason- i would move the betta out and get it its own tank of at least 2gals as its likely to happen again if you keep him in there with the platys.

He has been in there a while and was fine, Bux the betta has now been re housed to sister-inlaws.
