Platie Help!.

Platie had poop with a bubble in it it was floating in the tank was like a dark col, Any idear whts going on .

Could be extra gas just trapped inside. Maybe it was eating food and went for it, while gulping some air along with it. Just happened to be inside the poop. Should be fine. Is the platy healthy looking?

From I gather from reading other threads, you have nothing to worry about, but don't quote me! If the the poop is clear, I think i'm right in saying it's a sign of infection. Though I may be corrected on that score.
My platies usually have pink poop. Black poop is a sign that they've consumed fry I haven't spotted! Hope that helps!

It's important to look at your fishs' poo. Many problems can go wrong such as constipation or infections. As TF Keeper Uk said, you can see if a fish has problems by looking at its' crap.

Obviously you have observed something unusual or unexpected in your platy's poo, good idea to keep an eye on it.

Is this a female platy we're talking about. In that case I think it's quite likely that she has aborted/devoured her fry; I had similar symptoms from a similar cause (though in my case I think she had a bacterial infection causing the whole incident). The poo was enormously thick, absolutely gross and she was in so much difficulty passing it and being harrassed by her tank mates at the same time that I never thought she would survive. I transferred her to the hospital tank to die in peace. Two months later she is in fine fettle but has not had another pregnancy.
