Is it safe to have a betta in a plastic tank if it has a heater in the tank or 60 watt light next to it for heat?
Which heats up faster glass or plastic? Which holds heat better?

I think glass holds heat better, but both are still good supplies.
I have a heater in a plastic tank and its just as good as when i used one in a glass tank :)

They would both heat up well, especially as you rely on the heater as the source. I would agree with jasminekiddell though and say glass would hold heat better, though the body of water also has something to do with it as the larger the body of water the longer it takes to cool down.
