Hi. A while a go a bought a plastic see throught box from a china shop. Its a 61 liter and as i dont need it any more i was wondering if i could use it as a planted tank with galaxy rasboras and lemon tetras. Thanks. And i also have a 12 liter plastic see throught box that i thought that i could use for a betta. :good:

no reason why not, it wont look much though, going by what plastic storage containers look like where i am. :)

That's a long way to go for a tank!

A tank's a tank whether it's plastic or glass so can't see any problem, other than the obvious possibility of it becoming scratched. People will probably disagree with me but 12L is not big enough for a Betta though. Just because you see them sold in cups doesn't mean we have to adhere to cruel practices as well.

Yes shrimps and certain snails would be ok, although if the shrimp breed it'll get overrun pretty quickly.
