I was wondering if someone here has used plaster to cover styrofoam backgrounds or any other type of decor. I have a box standing in my garage so i was wondering if I could give it some use, but I don't know if it would be water safe and resistant

Plaster is largely a calcius material; which means it is mostly calcium.
this will dissolve in water(eventually)and it will change the Ph, kH and gH.
IMHO
not suitable for most freshwater aquariums; but proberbly suitable for a chiclid set up.

alright thanks, then it's a no no for me, I'll stick with cement and epoxy
