They look very alive to me Lol, I was more than happy :good:

just want to say...

the plants arrived today... and were in BRILLIANT condition

recieved my order today. rather dissappointed tbh. I order 2x potted crypt wendtii 3x potteed hydrocotyle leucocephala and 3x 5 stems of marsilea quadrifolia.

They had sold out of the marsilea and all the hydrocotyle stems had been snapped from their roots! The only ones that were good were the crypts.

I won't bother trying to get cheap plants again, i'll get tropica or birstall next time.

greg :/

I've just orderd some plants and some substrate from there over
a week ago but it still hasn't come.

Thats a little hars, trying to uprool plants without breaking roots is pretty hard to do!

pardon :S

did you mean uproot?

the stems had snapped from their bases.

well if you pay for a potted plant and the stems come snapped off from the root system then I may as well just bought stems! I payed extra to recieve the plants with a root system already beginning to form. It was almost as if when they were being put in the box it had been done very hashbash, and all the stems had broken.

so I wouldn't say it's harsh.

Mine came today too and i was also disappointed, no marsilea quadrifolia, the plants are packaged terrible and all my hairgrass is bent, the salvinia was mushy and brown and has been eaten by some kind of insects and my Ceratopteris Thalictroides was all broken and had alot of brown leaves. Another thing is that although i ordered the plants in pots, they seem to just been shoved into the pots from bunches rather than grown in the pots. Theres a pic below of how they came packaged(that bag was loose inside a cardboard box). I've learnt my lesson though, I'm sticking to tropica from now on and thats where I'm getting my marsilea. I think tropica are actually cheaper too, since you get more in a pot :/

That unfortunately is very common.

Far too common. I had the same problem with this lot 'www.aquarium-gardening.com they had just taken bunched plants and stuck them in pots, then charged more for it. There was absolutely NO root growth, in fact the ends of the stems were brown and decaying.

Dont be fooled by their website, the plants and service were rubbish. I had to throw a full order away and they wouldn't even acknowledge my email afterwards.
I even posted a complaint on their support fourm, that has now been taken off line ! They must be the worst UK online plant retailer I've ever seen.

I'll only buy Tropica plants, you know you are going to get good quality plants every time.
They are easy enough to obtain in the UK online from Aquaessentials, Birstall Garden centre.
And I believe Maidenhead Aquatics in Morden are now stocking Tropica plants.
