hi all :good:
just setting up my new tank(other one has plastic plants in
it has 2x30ins 25 watts+1x23.5ins 20 watts t5s
its 165 lts
sizes is 84x58x44cm
going to have nurafin c02
sand in the bottom
want to put lots of plants in
so could you please give me a list of nice easy to grow plants
many thanks Eric

if the tank is 58cm high then you won't be getting much light to the bottom. Fluoros aren't that good in tall tanks and most of their light is absorbed in the top 18inches. High output (HO) T5s will do a better job than T8 (standard fluoros) and normal output T5s.
You might be better off using a 75w metal halide if you want lots of light.
Good plants to start with include Ambulia, Elodia, Ludwigia, Hygrophilla sp, Swordplants & Narrow Vallis

could you give me a site so i can see which plants for the front and which for the back
many thanks

sorry I don't know of any sites besides the link Aaron posted. The plants I listed all grow tall (and are generally background plants) with the exception of some species of Hygrophilla and swordplant.
Hygrophilla rubra/ ruba grows to about 8-10inches high.

Most swordplants (Echinodoras sp) get to about 12-18inches high, sometimes more. Pygmy chain swords (Echinodoras tenellus) is a small plant that only grows to about 4 inches.

Lilliopsis stays small but doesn't always do well underwater.
