My aquarium will be quite heavily planted once complete (combined with bogwood) and i was wondering if anyone can recommend any products that will help keep them healthy or any tips or advice on maintenance.

Thanks :*

Sera Florena is a good liquid iron based plant fertiliser.
You can get Laterite and make small balls out of it (about 10mm diameter). These can be dried and pushed into the gravel under plants.
Have a light on the tank and keep it on for about 12 hours per day. If you don't get any algae then you can increase it by a couple of hours. You can have the lights on for up to 16 hours per day. If you get lots of algae then decrease the photoperiod.
2 lights are usually better than one but it depends on how big the tank is.
Get light globes with a temperature or Kelvin (K) rating between 6,000K & 10,000K.
Some good plants to try include Ambulia, Hygrophilla sp, Elodia, Swordplants, Ludwigia & Vallis

You will get a lot of algae to start with and i wouldn't reccomend having the lights on more than 12hours a day - this is plenty - plants need a rest aswell as fish. Try to also get tubes with a spectrum peking in the greens, red and a little blue. Have you read the pined topics? There is a lot to explain, asking more specific questions might be better!

Seachem Flourish, Seachem Excel, Seachem Trace are some of the best liquid ferts on the market. If you were to choose one go with Seachem Flourish, I noticed a big difference in growth within a couple days of using it.
