I understand now that if you want to have a planted tank, u need either alot of lighting or CO2.

What i dont understand is what is needed with the CO2???? Is it spread throughout the tank or what, if so how?

Hi if you want information on CO2 and lighting for plants you should post in the planted tanks section. The guys in there know there stuff and will be able to answer your questions. There aare also some handy pinned toppics.
Good luck :)

Yeh start by reading the pinned articles, they should provide you with most of the info you need.

I will however say that for a 'proper' planted tank you need BOTH light and CO2, you can have CO2 without light (althought its affect will be very much lessened) but if you have lots of light you'll need the extra CO2 as well, they go hand in hand.

If you have lots of light and lots of CO2 then you'll also need ferts and a decent plant substrate.

Hope that helps

Sam :)

If your question is about how the CO2 is introduced - its bubbled into the tank.
