Ok heres the deal,

After 10 years of keeping fish, I never have used real plants :X . Anyway, my question is, what kind of plant could I place in my 29 gallon sand bottom aquarium that has a dialy light cycle of about 10 hours? Im not into all the fertilization stuff, i just was wondering if I could place the thing in and let it be. I am willing to prune them as well, I just dont want things to get complicated...

As for the fish in the aquarium, they are two native fish from a creek near my house, so the water is 50% treated tap 50% creekwater... I assume there is plenty of nutrients. The fish themselves are not plant eaters so no worries there...

Thanks,

Tom

could you tell us how many watts of light you have?

If you have say 1.5 watts per gallon or less, you're probably best trying Java Fern (which can be tied to wood or rock) or anubias (also tied to wood).

Unfortunatley I dont have the specs with me on vacation lol, ill post the specs monday night, sorry :/

Im pretty certain that my light is a low wattage, but i will post them as i said on monday afternoon/night

Im pretty certain is 15-25 watts
