hmmmmmmmm.........good question, my idea is to get some "ProQuatics - water clearifier" it will clear up milky water in less then 4 hours.... petsmart makes it, so they cary it of course for prettty cheap if i were you i would buy the three pack with bacteria starter.... water clearifier, and water conditioner, all needed and they all work great....
as fo rthe plants, either keep them in there and see what happens, feed them some fertalizer, or move them to a new well established tank...
