Plants With Cichlids

im wanting to put live plants in my cicglid tank (if possible) I was wondering if there were any plants that they wont dig up and wont harm them, any advice is greatly appreciated

Plants are always risky with malawi cichlids. Some common ones that people try are Java Fern, Java Moss. There's more, but I can't think of them. Do a search of plants in the african section and it'll pull up loads of topics for you to read about

What kind of cichlids do you have?

if its malawi its trial and error as some do eat them and some wont.

Agreed, Mine have left plants alone so far, they just die in my tank .

I used 'vallis' i think they're called with my tangs... they work perfectly fine.

yeah vallisneria should be good jungle val would be your best bet also onion plants

Ive kept Anubias and Vallis with my Africans... the Vallis got shredded to peices within a cppl of days but the Anubias hasnt been touched and is growing nicely.
