what tropical and coldwater plants can not be taken over by algae easily?

The simple answer to this is that there are NO plants that are not easily taken over by algae. It's not as simple as that. Algae can take over any plant.

All plants are suceptible to algae, if something is wrong in the tank then algae will grow. Take a look in my sig and see what algae you are getting
