What plants are suitable for a lowtech tank with .9 watts per gallon. I have some anubias that are doing fantastic but I want something taller for the background. Your thoughts?

Vallisneria is great in low light. It was amzing how fast they grew in my lowlight tank I just can't get it to grow in my osaka :/

If you can get it to grow you end up with a very fast background jungle :) You can just get one plant to start you soon have plenty of new plants from it if you can grow it

if you get valls m8, get some root tabs. i have mine under my vals and before i had them i had no new plantlets and now within 2 wekks they have gone mental and i have 5 or 6 new plants. oh 1 Q from me, how do i unattach the plantlets? becuase the main runner is still attached to the 'mother' plant. thanks. maybe have a look at some of the crypts. mine grew well with 1wpg. i think i have nevelli or novelli (cant remember how its spelt!)

I have crypts, anubias, java moss and java fern in my low light low tech plant, and they thrive

Thanks for the suggestions. I was planning to get a few crypts and a few more anubias but I had not considered the vals. I think they would go nicely in the back.
