Fish Crazy
ok so i get hold of this big tank on the cheap but cant afford the proper filter etc that i want. SO, i set up a heater, a co2 unit (freeby with the new tank) and a small rena filter, just above the co2 diffuser.
As the co2 bubbles are released from the air line they travel up a network of zig-zags and i can uctually see the bubbles getting smaller and smaller, so by removing the filter guard and pad and placing it directly above the path of the small bubbles it sucks them up and sprays tiny bubbles of co2 throughout the tank!! thus having a fish dangerous level of co2 i expect, however, i'm not using the water, gravel or anything other than the tank and the plants, when i start cycling for my fish
over 48 hours a rather dead looking java fern has re-grown its rhiozomes (sorry bout the spelling
) ), plant cuttings have developed a few roots and the water lettuce is almost glowing its so bright and healthy!!
this was really just an experiment that has turned into a temporary obsession until i can afford a new ext eheim!!
if anyone has plant problems this is a surefire way to resolve them as a growout tank!
