(I'm posting this in the chit-chat forum, as it seems to get more traffic.)

I looked at aquariumplant.com tonight to check out their prices on plants. When I looked at Hygrophilia polysperma, I saw a note that said to check your state's noxious weed listing before ordering.

If a plant is on that list, does that mean it's illegal to own, even for aquarium use? Does that mean fish stores aren't supposed to be selling it?

Hmmm....

Its best to check with your government or department of fisheries around your local area. One phone call or trip to their office and you will usually end up walking out with a boot full of paphlets! :p

I know in Aus caulerpa taxifola has caused extensive ecological problems in the past, but much like you, i dont know if it actually is illegal for aquarium use.
