Hi all,

My plants are looking truely awful at the moment :( There are big holes in my swords and the vallis and crypts just seem to be rotting from the leaves down. On the other hand the ludwigia, cabomba, hornwart etc are doing really well. This was the problem last week, its now much worse...

My cycle has just finished so i'm due a big water change but was wondering if there was anything I could get to help the plants out? Substrate is eco complete and I dosed with floraboost when tank was newly planted around 3 weeks ago.

Edit: forgot to mention I discovered a pest snail problem in the tank a few days ago. Tried the lettuce bait trick with no luck at all. When plants like swords get unsightly holes will they 'heal' over with the proper treatment or are they there for good?

pinhole leaves suggest a lack of pottasium. You could add KH2SO4 (pottasium sulphate) via dry powder or get TPN (tropica plant nutrition)

But first before you do that, you need to be dosing once a week at least, the more times you dose through the week, (in smaller amounts) is better.
