When I first brought the tank around 2 month ago I added 6 plants, today only 2 of the original have survived! I've since replaced these with different plants.

Some of these look like there dying aswell. They all seem to go yellow at the bottom n just dye, its weird because they look like they are still growing at the top.

any ideas what's happening to them?

Got some pic's? Also what's your tank size, wattage of lighting, stock& filtration?

Sorry mate im new on here, how do i attach photos?

Ive got a 200L tank with 1 Aqua-Glo 30W, 1 Power-Glo 30W with a fluval U4 internal filter

8 Tiger Barb, 5 Odessa Barb, 6 Zebra Danios, 4 Indian Gourami, 3 Oto's

My tank has also not cycled, would that make a difference? 0 ammonia 0 nitrite 5 nitrate

You need to upload them to flikr or photobucket and use the IMG code for the uploaded photo, copy and paste it here and pic will show. :)

http://www.flickr.com/photos/89971833@N05/ - if you want any more just let me know

The plant with the redish leaves and the plant just to the left of the helmet are from the original group of plants and are doing fine.

The weedish looking plants on the left are going yellow at the bottom and yet look like there growing on top.....

The small plants on the right were the same plants when i brought them, one has kinda malted and fell to bits and the other has just bushed outwards instead of up.

The long grass looking plants (Back Right) are new, added them a week ago.

as you can probably tell i have not got a clue what there called!

Cheers

Phil

They all look very healthy to me, the one going reddish is beautiful, would love a cutting of that of you ever trim it, get rid of the air pump mate, the surface movement will get rid of the CO2 in the water, do you use any ferts?

1st pic it happens with Cabomba, its very delicate and 2nd one looks over shadowed by something so would explain why, aqua essentials neutro t is a basic trace mix which is all you'll need.

Yh you were right it is Cabomba, just checked it out on google.

I think delicate is a under statement lol.

can you recommend any other plants that are easy to look after

Go with Echinodorus, Anubias, Mosses, Microsorum, Cryptocoryne, Hygrophila, Bolbitis, there are variations of all of those main species and 90% will survive under low light with some trace ferts every now and again.

Cheers mate bin great help.

ill keep an eye out for the plants you've listed.

I've just brought some neutro t so ill give it a try.

thanks again

Phil

Is the pinkish one some type of rotala?

I think it might be Nesea but not sure, looks to big to be Macrandra or Rotundifolia.
