so i bought 5 plants to go im my 10 gallon community tank
the pot is much higher than the gravel tho
do i just top up the gravel to the right height or should i take them out the pot nd squash them down then cover them in gravel

Def take the plants out of the pot and remove as much of the mineral wool from around the roots as possible. This will help the plants root into the gravel and get nutrients. They'll probably die or at least really not do very well if you leave them in the pots :)

Once out of the pots, it also helps if you trim the roots to around 1.5 to 2cm in length. This encourages the plant to produce more roots :)
