Hi all
have some confusing advice regarding planting. I have ordered some new plants just arrived and the leaflet with them says "take all potted or bunched plants, seperate and replant after 1 week".
I was planning to remove the pots and lead weights and plant directly into my gravel 2cm with sand 2cm underneath. What's with the replanting after one week? Also I can't get to do anything for a few hours, should I remove them from the packaging and put in a bucket of conditioned water until I can get to the (initial?) planting stage.
thanks for any help

No idea where the waiting 1 week comes from. When I planted my new tank I just removed anything that wasn't part of the plant and put straight into the tank. I think you would probably be best putting them in a bucket of water but it depends how well they are packaged (couple of hours shouldn't make a great deal of difference if they are well packed.

thanks
I think I might do as I normally would but perhaps someone has heard of this before.
the plants are from aquarium gardening and look in good condition and good sizes.
