Plants Getting Eaten

hi guys ive had fish for many years and have allways had succes with palnts etc..since getting my new tank i ave put fertilizer and allsorts in to grow the plants..the problem is not growing them but my fish have suddenly starting eating them faster than they can grow i had a huge piece of moss which was covering the tank nicely and its nearly gone...is there something i can do

feed the fish more green foods (cucumber etc)
get rid of the fish
