I'm not sure what is lacking in the plants diet, but all of my leaves are turning brown, and then going see through, then of course falling off. My Anubius barteri, isn't doing so good, my Amazon Sword isn't either. My Rotala rotundifolia is dying. I just added some new plants, Lysimachia nummularia, and Ceratopteris thalictroide, which are okay so far, and my Anubius Nana is doing better then the others, The small amount of Tiger Lotus hasn't grown much, and doesn't look great, and my what looks to be Java Fern hasn't grown any either. Phew! Am I correct on the names though?

Anyways, I dose C02 (sugar yeast) and all of the plants are in flourite, and most of them are in these plant pots with this fiber type stuff covering their roots. I have started adding some Flourish comprehensive supplement, but it didn't help much before. What should I be using? Is this like a Iron deficiency?

I've spent over 100 dollars on plants, and I can afford for them to die :fun: Help me!! :shout:

You need to be dosing NPK.... everything seems OK. Perhaps adding a root tab to the more hungry root feeds will help t'boot.

Take them out of the pots - the roots will be very cramped and you will also be able to split most of them into multiple plants/stems to give a better spread of planting.

Cool! What's NPK?? Will root tabs help!? I thought flourite held all of that kind of stuff...

I just noticed that the Lysimachia has started dying

Thanks! I will take them out, but all of them would be more cramped in terra cotta pots (except the few in those other fiber stuff.)

No gravel? That explains the pots - a decent substrate would certainly help....

What lights do you have and what size (gallons) is your tank? Adding CO2 with decent lighting means you need to consider much more than an off-the-shelf liquid fertiliser to get the best from your plants.

Well, the C02 isn't great, it's a 55, and I have one C02 for a maximum size of 40 gallons. My Tank is 55 gallons, and I'm not sure how much WPG I got, I can't find the wattage on the bulbs. To be honest, I think i'm done with plants. I have never had this many problems with plants, and I'm fed up. All of them are dying, and I don't want to waste anymore money... Thanks for all the help, but I think they are all just going to die...

After doing some thinking, Your Swords are not dieing the bigger leaves are dieing off and growing New ones. Samething happened to mine. Snap off the big dead leaves and wach the small leaves grow.

Yep. I did that. I have heard it's better for the plant to remove the dead leaves, something about they can waste nutrients.

My substrate is decent right? Seachem flourite??

To be honest, the plants are looking a little better... I will be picking up some Iron tomorrow...
