Hello,

Im fishless cycling my tank with plants in, the plants have been in about a week and already they look like they are dying off!!!

I dont have CO2 injection and want to avoid this if possible, should i add ferts while the tank is cycling using ammonia?

My tank is 33 Gallons and the lighting provides around 2 watts per galon, maybe just under.

Any suggestions??

im not too sure... but i cant think of any possible reason for why you cant addd fertz.....

what sort of plants are in there??

Give the plants a chance; sometimes they will appear to die off when first introduced to a tank. Remove the dead leaves and give it another week or so. Did you go for hardy, fast growing plants?.

ive got some amazon swords and and long reedy types along with 2 smaller plants not sure what they are called

Sound like they could be Vallis. They'll usually grow well in average water. Try some Hygrophila Polysperma, too. Just ask at the shop for anything fast growing. Elodea Densa usually does the trick as well.
