I have heard that in a new tank set up, plants tend to die off a little before growing... well i redid my tank and after 24 hours, my umbrella plants and sword are doing terrible. I redid my tank by making it 100% flourite, my co2 is running at between 20-40 ppm, my water is fine, i only added 1/4 of a dose of fertilizer liquid because its new, and i dont knwo what to do, will they ebventually grow back up or what? instructions or help anyone :)

my lighting right now is at about 2.1-2.3 wpg. I figured out some were dying off from my old tank because they werent healthy (that is why i redid the substrate) so they had lots of brown leaves, and now i realize the brown leaves i see arent new, they are just from the old deaths, the only plants seeming to die is the amzon sword (brand new and huge), some leaves are getting brown on them, nothing too serious, but brown spots. everything else is doing GREAT tho!

Glad to hear that most of your plants are doing better. I would take off as many leaves that are going brown. The plant itself will do better if it isn't trying to keep dying leaves alive.

ok tomorrow i am geting a custom lid fo rmy tank so i will take out the dead leaves tomorrow. How often should i use seachem flourish liquid?

Thats the brown stuff, right? That's my favourite of all the liquid fert's I've used.

The bottle says 1 capful per 60 gallons each week. I'm not sure exactly how much I use... I just sorta pour it out. I add it right after my weekly water change.

ok this weekend i will add some, i will add a cpful, i dont wanna feed too much, unless someone thinks i should, tomorro wi will rid myself of the dying leaves :)
