Plants During Fishless Cycle

Can I add plants during a fishless cycle or should I wait until it is over?

I had plants during mine. Didn't seem to be a problem

I read that plants will affect my readings though as they will feed off the ammonia

Plants will consume some of the ammonia, since it is a from of nitrogen. But it will really not affect the cycle that much, simply cycle the tank the same way you would if you didn't have plants.

make sure you have at least 75% coverage of the substrate otherwse you will get algae from the ammonia.
