Plants Dont Seem To Last A Minute?

Hiya, I would be really greatful for some advice...

Ive been buying real live plants for my tropical fish tank, but they seem to just die and wilt or break off straight away

I think theres a possibility i dont have enough gravel to make sure the gravel is covering all the root

and also is it essential to buy plant food for them to last??

could be a myriad of things, first things that come to mind is do you have fish that eat plants, or the plants could be non aquatic.

other than that it would help people giving you advice if you listed your tank specs in this order:

size of tank:

Stocking of the tank including species names:

plants your using including either a picture or a name:

Lighting power over the tank, the wattage and colour range of the bulbs:

any co2 injection:

what fertilisers your dosing:
