Hi there,

I have some anubias which has seen better days - leaves seems to be turning yellow. I have tried both API Leaf Zone and interpet flora boost and both seem to have done nothing.

I have a gravel substrate, about 1WPG.

What should i do

Is this seachem flourish excel worth a try?!

Jonno.

You have no CO2? Then yes, use Excel. No CO2 = no growth = no nutrient up take = pouring nutrients in = waste of time / money.

Though at 1wpg CO2 is not essential - Flourish Excel would be well suited to the lighting though, pretty good stuff.

Yellow leaves will likely not recover, hopefully new leaves will not turn yellow - trim off the yellow leaves if they become too badly affected incase the problem spreads into the rest of the plant. Fertiliser may take 2-3 weeks to make any noticeable impact so don't expect instant results.
