i bleached my tank and plants a few days ago as i thought i had something bad in my tank.

i have been away since the weekend and i looked in my tank when i came home today and there were alot of leaves floating at the surface, ones on the plants were coming off and transparent

i have nutrifin co2, 15w t5 light and api leaf zone

is there anything i can do to stop them loosing too many leaves

not sure what the plants are, amazon sword is affected but the other one is worse, its a stem plant small green leaves with a bronze tint underneath

can a plant survive with only a few stems leaves left?

this is a week ago, before the bleeching

what percentage bleach solution did you make? it should be 5% bleach 95% water. did you soak the plants or dip them? did you rinse after?

it was a 10l bucket and i literally put a small squirt of bleach in, like a capfull

dipped the plants in, rinsed them in fresh water then left them in the sun for 10 mins before putting them in the tank

its just the amazon swords and the ones behind it that have suffered

if i was to strip off all the leaves or most of them could i grow back ok?
