So as a graduation present my aunt (a marine aquarium pro) got me set up with plants and a co2 system for my little ten gallong tank. (about 100 bucks....i love her more than ever now!!!)
Basically we got Eco-complete plant gravel (that wasnt very cheap!!!) , 7 plants (small ones), and a Maxi-jet 400. I bought some compact flourescent lights made for plants (that wasn't cheap either).
The aquarium store told me what to do, they started me off. I got a 2 liter bottle and they drilled the top, put a tube in and sealed it and gave me the recipe to make my own co2 out of the two liter: 2 cups suger, 1/2 tsp yeast, 1 tbs baking soda, water. The maxi-jet I use to diffuse the co2 (I attached the bottle to the jet) and I can clearly see bubbles lightly spurting out the jet.
I was just wondering about maybe upgrading my co2 system a little bit. I dont want a pressurized system though.
The more I look I'm thinking everythings set up fine. I dont want the maxi jet to go to waste, it was a nice gift!!!
