Plants And Blurry Fish

Lucky for me my Son took these without a flash , other wise you all would be looking at streaks , water spots , and algae , instead you can see my TV ............

thanks , it's a jungle in there .

with 3 exceptions [ lotus , apon and echinos ]the plants are pretty undemanding as far as light goes .

I have 2 / 40 watt AGRO plant growth tubes , and daylight tube , barely meeting minimum requirements .

for the last 2 weeks the lights [ 2 of the 3 ] have only come for 2 1/2 hours at night [ turned the other off altogether for now ], due to a bit of aggression on behalf of a certain male cockatoo .........


The biggest thing to me is water changes , and every other change I add supplements made by Seachem , I have also added Seachem's root [tabs ] fertilizer .....

A few years ago I was keeping figure 8s and Stanly pool puffers , a rarely seen , said to be freshwater puffer from Africa , anyway I added sea salt , about a cup to my 70 gal tank , than adding a smaller amount during water changes ............java moss , and java fern were recommended , but all nearly died , I traded off my puffers ........went to freshwater ........the plants grew back , the plants I have now are from the originals ..............ten years ago ...........anway if you want plants for a brackish setup , try fabric made , or plastic ...........................

thanks , it isn't carefully manicured like some I've seen here ........but I'm lazy , the plants are alive / growing ..........and besides , the fish like it , I can tell ...........
