Due to a slight disagreement with my credit card company
I am restricted to buying from my LFS or via paypal (i.e. ebay). In general, what are the experiences of ebay plants positive?
Also I'm looking at getting some java moss one sellers description is as follows -
You will recieve an approx. 100g clump of this plant, this is quite a large handful and spread out will quickly grow to 2 or 3 times this volume.
It will look like the picture, and as it has been grown emersed (out of water) it won't look exactly the same as it does when grown submerged (underwater), but within a few weeks of living submersed in your tank it will take on a darker green colour and put out many fine 'branches' in every direction.
Why do we sell it in it's emersed form? Simply, because it travels and transplants best like that, the submerged form will often shrivel and die back when taken out of water for any period of time and doesn't like being moved from one water chemistry to another - the submerged form does recover, of course, but it takes longer to get re-established than the emersed form.
Does that sound resonable? Or should I look elsewhere?
