So on my 3rd attempt and wth some help from truck, I finally got my cat litter under sand planted up. During the week though, a stem of cabomba has wriggled free. What's the best way to replant it without taking all the water out?
My wisteria is still rotten too, getting worse, although there seems to be new growth at the top. I started with TPN+ last week, dosing 1ml, which is half the dose on the bottle, as I have no CO[sub]2[/sub]. I presume I just do a water change each week and just add another 1ml?
Thanks :)

push it in the substrate with your fingers, or it is easier if you use tweesers. They are about £6 for a cheap set on ebay.

what size tank is it & what wattage is the lighting?

Thanks Aaron, I'll have a go today. It's a 5 gall with a 9w bulb. It's tall and deep though.

Right, replanted and seems to be OK [fingers crossed]
Just thought, I'm dosing the tank with 2ppm ammonia daily to keep the filter going until I get another betta. Could that be why the wisteria isn't doing so well?
The other plants (cabomba, amazon sword and elodea) all seem fine.

1ml a week isnt that much, it wouldnt be bad if you had some messy fish but bettas are pretty clean arent they?

I would add 1ml x3 per week, or you can add 3ml after the water change if you like. Wisteria is sometimes grown emerssed, when i added mine it rotted but keep trimming the stem off when it rots and new shoots will soon be produced.

OK, I've added 1ml today, I'll add some more later in the week :good:
