Planting Plants In Sand

Ordered a bundle of 25 plants from ebay in the hope that some survive my set up. I have sand as my substrate so whats the best way to keep them planted? as the plants i had before tend to be floating around after a few days, all tips and suggestions welcome

i had this problem with my Cories digging plants up. I added a couple more inches of sand and haven't had any more problems.

K i'll try and plant them best i can and use the stoned where possible to help just thought someone would have a technique that works better, I'll just need to plant better then
